Cyclone Computers was established in 1988 and provides IT hardware, software and support to some of New Zealand’s largest organisations.
Cyclone originally began life as a local assembler of PC’s and servers and although we remain one of New Zealand’s largest and most experienced system builders, this now accounts for less than 25% of our annual turnover.
With primarily an education focus our customers include some of the largest IT users in New Zealand including Auckland University of Technology, Unitec, University of Canterbury, Manukau Institute of Technology, Lincoln University, University of Otago, Waikato Institute of Technology and Eastern Institute of Technology.
Key non-tertiary customers include Kristin School, Tait Electronics, Pumpkin Patch, Auckland Girls Grammar, Rangi Ruru, Jade Software, Ashburton District Council and Duncan Cotterill.
Into these customers we sell and support a wide range of IT equipment including enterprise and file and print servers, SAN storage, PC’s, notebooks, netbooks, Microsoft and Adobe software, printers, projectors and security products. The company is privately owned, with around 40 staff throughout or locations in Auckland, Hamilton, Napier, Wellington and Christchurch. Revenues are in excess of $25 million, and we are proud to show a strong balance sheet and a healthy history of retained earnings.
