About Us

Cyclone was established in 1993 as a white-box PC assembler with the overriding premise that business can be conducted both ethically and profitably (in contrast to most of our competitors at that time – which was during the “wild west” of the emerging IT sector in NZ).


Although we moved away many years ago from assembling our own PC’s, Cyclone has maintained its strong focus on transacting business on an ethical basis; this ethical focus is present through all of our business relationships and transactions and has been a cornerstone of Cyclone continued success in this competitive industry for so many years.


Cyclone is a private company, New Zealand owned and operated, employing over 110 staff in our Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin branches. Cyclone are renowned for our commitment to customers in the Education, Corporate and Government sectors.

We are proud to say that we have an outstanding record of retaining customers and sincerely believe that it is our customer focus and willingness to use our agility and responsiveness that our organisational size affords us, to deliver superior experiences to our customers.

We are currently experiencing strong growth and with revenues in excess of $100 million this year. As a relatively conservatively run company it is pleasing to see that our average growth rate over the past 20 years has been 13.0% (all achieved organically) – we believe this consistent and continued growth is a reflection of our strong customer service focus and our long-term / partnership approach when dealing with both our customers and suppliers.
