Setting up your Macbook

Proceed through the Apple Setup Assistant until you reach the Desktop.

Follow the steps in “Enroll your Mac using Company Portal” below.

Enroll your Mac using Company Portal

1. Open Safari and go to the following link: https://portal.manage.microsoft.com/devices

2. Use the credentials from your welcome letter.

3. Select MacBook as the type of device you are using.

a. You may have to click the Three (3) lines in the top corner and select devices from the list.

4. Click on the Banner: “You don’t have any managed devices. Add this one by tapping here.”

5. Click download for company portal.

6. Click allow for Safari to download the software.

7. Go downloads and click on CompanyPortal-Installer.pkg

8. Follow the steps to install the software and enter your computer password when needed.

9. Go to Applications or Launch Pad and open Company Portal.

10. Sign in to Company Portal with your School credentials.

11. Click Begin on the Set up Saint Kentigern access.

12. Click Continue.

13. On the Install management profile page, click Download Profile

14. A window will pop-up stating Profile Downloaded.

15. This will open Device Management in System Settings.

16. Double Click Management Profile.

17. Click Install… in the bottom left corner.

18. Enter your computer password to allow the install.

19. Go to the top bar, click menu System Settings and select Quit System Settings and return
to Company Portal.

20. Wait for the install Management Profile to finish checking the system.

21. Click Done.

22. On the Device Category page, select macOS-BYOD.

23. The School software and profile will now be installed on the machine.

24. You will receive prompts around software needing access to machine resources.

25. You will need to leave the laptop on for atleast 30minutes for the software to install and update.

Frequent occurance:
If you take to long between installing the profile and returning to Company Portal, it may request you to download the profile again. Click Close and Continue with the steps in Company Portal.
