Noel Jack establishes Cyclone’s Auckland branch
1996
Richard Morgan takes role as General Manager. Cyclone has 14 staff.
Cyclone sponsors the Tertiary IT Directors conference for the first time

Tracey Thomson establishes Cyclone Wellington branch
2003
Cyclone establishes a software and licensing team including a Microsoft Partnership managed by Tracey Thomson

Only NZ owned local – assembler appointed to the All of Government’s (AOG) Laptops and Desktop Contract for Government supply
2010
Cyclone becomes an Apple Authorized Reseller, employing a number of ex-Renaissance staff
Leigh Gibbard joins Cyclone, as Schools Sales Manager

Cyclone establishes a Dunedin branch

Cyclone ceases to locally assemble PC’s and moves all customers to multinational

Professional Learning and Development (PLD) team established

Cyclone sells its first Managed Services Contract

Cyclone Finance established to assist parents finance a device for students at one-to-one schools
Wins TELA+ contract with Ministry of Education – the single largest notebook deployment and management contract in NZ (commenced March 2018)

Cyclone establishes a National Service Desk

Cyclone has 120 staff

Cyclone partnered with the Ministry of Education to deploy 35,000+ computers to students as part of the Covid-19 “Working From Home”
